How Our Franchising Program Works

Application: As a prospective Franchise Owner, you’ll
complete a questionnaire and submit it for our review. After we review it, we'll notify you whether or not we want to move forward with franchising discussions.
Interview/presentation: If we decide to move forward with franchise discussions, we'll meet for an interview and information session at our corporate office in Kentucky. It will be a busy day as you:
- learn about our history
- get an in-depth look at the LaRosa's Restaurant operation
- tour our One Number customer service center
- meet our Executive Management Team
- visit several of our company owned and franchised restaurants
Franchise Owner Information Review: At this point, it's time for some serious thought on your part. You'll review the information that will help you make the best decision for you about investing in a LaRosa's Restaurant. We'll encourage you to:
- meet with existing Franchise Owners to discuss unit performance and satisfaction with the LaRosa's system
- review other information about LaRosa's that might help from other industry sources
Corporate Information Review: At the same time, we'll do an in-depth review of all the information you've submitted: financial statements, credit information, and other background to confirm that you meet our acceptance criteria. We may schedule a second interview, if necessary.
Franchise Agreement: If you meet our Franchise Owner criteria and we decide to move forward with you, we'll sign a Franchise Agreement and you'll be on your way to becoming a LaRosa's Franchise Owner. Even if you meet our Franchise Owner criteria, we reserve the right, within our discretion, to not approve you as a Franchise Owner.
Orientation: As a new Franchise Owner, you'll attend a one day orientation class at LaRosa's Center for Learning in Cincinnati. The class will cover things like:
- the LaRosa's Branded Operations Systems manual
- budgeting
- store planning
- site selection
- store construction
- training process
- new store opening team services
- grand opening procedures
You'll also meet your LaRosa's mentor, who'll be your contact person during orientation and training.
Training: You (or your General Manager) and four others will participate in a 10 week training course. Training will take place at LaRosa's Center for Learning in Cincinnati, and in a designated training store.
Participants will be required to successfully complete a 2 week core curriculum module at the LaRosa's Center for Learning which covers the basics of successfully operating a LaRosa's Restaurant. You may also choose for those participants to attend an additional one week elective module which provides leadership and personal development training.
In-store training will occur at a designated training store nearest to where your restaurant is under construction. Training will begin immediately prior to store construction, and will continue through store construction; finishing 2 weeks prior to opening.
Construction Completion: As construction nears completion, our New Store Opening Team will begin helping with on-site training sessions. On-site training will begin one week prior to opening, and will end two weeks after opening. All Opening Team expenses are the responsibility of the franchisees.
